Ajira Africa & Graceland Orchards Launch Lemon Project in Yikitaa, Makueni County

On January 19 th , 2021, the Graceland Orchards’ lemon project was commissioned in Yikitaa, Kibwezi - Makueni County. The commissioning happened at Mr. Dave Muumbi’s land in Yikittaa and in attendance were twenty one (21) people.

Mrs. Anne Kiguru, (Ajira Africa Chairperson) a board member, facilitated the event alongside the host, Mr. Dave Muumbi. The board chairperson, Mr. Kigo Kariuki spoke on the project and introduced the board members in attendance. The project was officially commissioned by Rev. Ruth Kioko. An offering was made after the commissioning and was shared among the attended ordained ministers excluding Rev. Ruth Kioko.

As the project’s first fruits, Six hundred and fifty (650) pieces of face masks were offered to the neighbouring Yikitaa primary school by the board chairperson, Mr. Kigo Kariuki.
